SHARE THE RIDE TO CELEBRATE CLEAN AIR MONTH THIS MAY

Celebrate Clean Air Month this May by sharing the ride, taking the bus, or hitting the streets to bike or walk to your destination. Representatives from St. Lucie County Community Services, South Florida Commuter Services, and Council on Aging of St. Lucie, Inc. discuss several different options and resources you can use to help contribute to Port St. Lucie's clean air. NOTICE OF A SCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing is scheduled on May 7, 2013 to receive comments on the proposed changes to the St. Lucie County Treasure Coast Connector Plus’s fixed route system.  For detailed information, the public hearings will be held at:

Those unable to attend may submit written comments by May 21, 2013 to Marianne Arbore, Community Transit, 1505 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL  34950.

Anyone with a disability requiring transit accommodation to attend the meeting should contact Community Transit at (772) 464-7433, Option 1 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Anyone requiring translation services should contact Marianne Arbore at (772) 345-8228, at least five days prior to the meeting.   Persons who are hearing or speech impaired may use the Florida Relay System by dialing 711.

BUS ROUTE CHANGES PROPOSED FOR ST. LUCIE COUNTY

The 700 daily riders on Treasure Coast Connector buses could have shorter, more direct routes to shopping centers and government buildings, according to proposed changes to the route system.
