Treasure Coast Connector: "Everyone Rides For Free!"

Regional Bus System Offers Free Rides Until 2006

Tom Derzypolski

(Fort Pierce, Fla.) 'Tis the season to give and in the holiday spirit representatives from the Treasure Coast Connector, the county bus system, announced today that everyone rides for free the rest of the year!

While the Treasure Coast Connector remains the single most cost-effective form of transportation available in St. Lucie and Martin County, the staff at Community Transit realizes that every penny counts during the holiday season.

"The Treasure Coast Connector has had a great year! We have launched a new website and worked to improve our system by expanding our routes and service area," said Marianne Arbore, Transit Director. "Our year-end free ride initiative is just a small token of our appreciation for the community support we receive throughout the year."

Currently the system offers routes that connect Fort Pierce and Stuart and many of the communities in-between. Whether you are wrapping up holiday shopping at the mall or headed to work to make some extra cash, the Treasure Coast Connector will get you there. All route information and times can be found at www.treasurecoastconnector.com.

The Treasure Coast Connector began operation in 2002 and now connects the communities of St. Lucie and Martin Counties with three fixed routes. Service is scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information call 722-464-8878 in St. Lucie County or 772-286-8818 in Martin County.
